Windows 7 - Change Adapter Settings is Empty

I had a user bring in a box from home they were having issues with, and wondered if I would take a look. The main problem was that their Network Adapter settings window was totally empty, even though the adapter is running and working.

The solution for me, was found in this article here, by Brian Chavez - but in a nutshell requires resetting the registry key for the network config.

For those who want to jump in blindly:

Locate and then delete the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL-MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network\Config
